Upland next town featured in ‘Now Entering’ Series

UPLAND – WIPB-TV will feature Upland in its ongoing series celebrating small towns.

Called “Now Entering…”, this program is a video scrapbook of the people, places and history of towns as seen through the eyes of its residents. Upland community members will collect video footage and still photos to showcase their unique stories. These stories will combine to create the “Now Entering…Upland” program, which will be broadcast on WIPB-TV.

A Community Meeting is planned for 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, at the Upland Community Building. At the meeting, residents will learn about collecting stories, get tips for shooting video and more. And because WIPB wants to make sure everyone who would like to tell a story can do so, video cameras will be provided – to be checked library-style at a central location. All those interested in participating in the project should attend.

“We know that Upland has wonderful stories to tell,” said Michelle Kinsey, Community Engagement Coordinator for WIPB-TV. “And we cannot wait to hear them!” Upland will be the fourth town featured in the series. Others were Portland, Pendleton and Knightstown.
