Palace follows the family-fractured lives of a politically-riled auto-mechanic, a retired widower,
and a repressed college student as their lives intertwine at a bar in Grant County. It premiered
at Indianapolis’ acclaimed Heartland International Film Festival in October. Palace makes its
Marion debut on February 2nd, 7:00pm at The Abbey Coffee Company. A talkback with the
director, who graduated from Taylor University last year, will follow the screening.
The first narrative feature film shot in Grant County, Palace is a flagrantly Hoosier examination
of generations crossing paths. The Gas City Public Library, Ivanhoe’s, and more Grant County
landmarks take center stage throughout. CineSportsTalk.com said “its character work is sublime
and acting is top notch.”
The film runs 94 minutes and has a recommended audience of 17+. Tickets are $5 at the door.
