Chamber of Commerce
The Upland Chamber of Commerce is a group of individuals representing local, active businesses, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations dedicated to improving and strengthening the community of Upland. Members range from small businesses to large corporate and educational partners.
While the Chamber does not maintain compensated staff or an office, Board members are committed representatives of local business and education who take seriously the task of promotion and engagement within the community, cooperating with other area Chambers of Commerce, and interacting with others contemplating locating in Upland.
Through collaboration and innovation, local business owners and employees, Town of Upland officials and staff, and representatives of educational, non-profit and community service entities come together to network, engage in lively conversation, hear guest speakers, enjoy fellowship, and promote area events, while encouraging new and established businesses to thrive.

Chamber leadership offers to local businesses and organizations the opportunity to request the Board and other interested parties be present for celebrations of various kinds, including ground-breakings, ribbon-cuttings and grand openings; “celebrations of business” such as the opening day or feature of a particular menu item, special sale; or other opportunities to promote and enhance business and market upcoming events.
The Chamber Board refers individuals and businesses to the products and services of other members, and individual members do likewise. In the near future, a special Upland Chamber of Commerce web presence will be launched along with the new Town of Upland website. In addition, members are offered the opportunity to promote their business or organizations to others via welcome packets to be distributed to new community members.
Members receive a monthly e-newsletter invitation to the following month’s meeting, including Chamber and Chamber Board news. Members are encouraged to highlight their business or organization in newsletters, at meetings, or by speaking at a monthly luncheon and take advantage of the opportunity to promote their next sale, event, open house, fund-raiser, or other opportunity to attract visitors to their business or organization or support events and worthy causes.
The Upland Chamber of Commerce meets the first Tuesday of each month at 12:00 noon, most often at Taylor University. A buffet lunch and short program are offered, as well as networking around the tables. Upcoming meetings are promoted via monthly e-newsletters, and changes to the schedule such as date, time and/or location are communicated well in advance. Luncheons include an all-you-can eat buffet with dessert and drink included (no gratuities).
A new membership campaign is being launched in May, 2018. Membership will run July 2018-June 2019. For information on dues, please contact Dianne Hovermale, Chamber President.
